Goodness, who starts an email newsletter in 2024?
Just as you think the internet is dead and overloaded with too much content and too many people which is why your blog never gets read, what do you only go and decide what to do?
Start an email newsletter.
But to tell you the truth, I’m itching to try something new to get me out of this writing hole of going nowhere.
Do I know what it’s going to be about? Roughly.
Do I have a plan? No.
Will I stick to a schedule? Spontaneously, perhaps.
I don’t know a lot at this stage, but what I do know is that I’ve been meaning to try this properly for ages.
I had an old Substack back in Covid times but to be honest, it’s long gone, or at least gaining thick cobwebs somewhere.
And as it’s the season of new academic beginnings, I thought I’d turn over a nice bright Autumn leaf, and begin again.
So this is just a quick hello to say I’m starting a bookish, writerly newsletter.
I don’t have a content plan yet - but you can expect to find writing about the books I’m reading (including my honest opinions) my take on everything going on in the literary world, life as a twentysomething and everything in between.
My next email will be me introducing myself properly, so stay tunned to that if you want to get a know a (rapidly approaching late) twentysomething avid reader, who dreams of having her book on the shelf one day.
